Priyanka Gandhi's Sharp Criticism of PM Modi and Arvind Kejriwal: Calls Them "Crybaby Leaders" Priyanka Gandhi Targets BJP and AAP for Diverting Attention from Core Issues
Amid the heated political atmosphere in Delhi ahead of the assembly elections, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a blistering attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, branding them as "crybaby" leaders. She accused both of deflecting responsibility for governance failures by blaming each other rather than addressing the real concerns of the public.
Speaking at an election rally in Delhi, Priyanka Gandhi asserted that she had "never seen bigger cowards" than PM Modi and Kejriwal, stating that both leaders continuously shift blame instead of taking accountability for their actions.
Priyanka Gandhi Mocks PM Modi and Kejriwal for Playing the Blame Game
During her speech, Priyanka Gandhi highlighted how PM Modi frequently blames former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru for historical setbacks, while Kejriwal blames PM Modi for his administrative failures. She criticized this cycle of blame-shifting, calling it a strategy to mislead voters.
"Modi ji says that many works were stalled because of Nehru ji. Whenever he fails to deliver, he conveniently uses Nehru ji as an excuse. On the other hand, Kejriwal says that Modi ji is preventing him from working. I have never seen such crybaby leaders. I have not seen bigger cowards than them," she said, drawing loud reactions from the crowd.
Accusations of Political Favoritism Toward Big Industrialists
Priyanka Gandhi further accused both leaders of being "slaves to big industrialists", stating that neither Modi nor Kejriwal truly prioritizes public welfare. She highlighted how BJP has criticized Kejriwal’s "Sheesh Mahal" (glass palace) residence, while AAP has attacked PM Modi for his "Raj Mahal" (royal palace) lifestyle.
"Both leaders act as if they are against each other, but in reality, their policies favor the wealthy elite. Instead of focusing on the suffering of the common people, they are busy fighting over whose palace is bigger," she remarked.
Slamming PM Modi’s Governance and AAP’s Corruption Allegations
Criticizing PM Modi’s governance, Priyanka Gandhi accused him of being disconnected from the struggles of ordinary citizens. She emphasized issues like rising inflation, unemployment, and poor pandemic response, claiming that the BJP government has failed to provide economic relief to the people.
She also took a dig at Kejriwal’s claims of honesty, bringing up the liquor scam controversy that has surrounded his administration. She called upon Delhi voters to hold both leaders accountable, stating that corruption and mismanagement have plagued their governance.
Congress Under Fire for Alleged Remarks on President Droupadi Murmu
Priyanka Gandhi’s remarks come at a time when the BJP is targeting the Congress over alleged insults directed at President Droupadi Murmu. A viral video clip circulating on social media showed Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra discussing the President’s opening speech at the Budget session of Parliament. In the clip, Sonia Gandhi was reportedly heard expressing concern over the President’s fatigue during her speech.
"The poor lady, the President, was getting very tired by the end... She could hardly speak, poor thing," Sonia Gandhi was purportedly heard saying.
This remark triggered strong backlash from BJP leaders, including PM Modi, who accused the Congress of disrespecting India’s first tribal President and demanded a public apology from the Gandhi family.
Priyanka Gandhi Fires Back at PM Modi Over His Election Tactics
Reacting to PM Modi’s allegations, Priyanka Gandhi slammed him for trying to turn a simple remark into an election controversy. She argued that Congress was expressing sympathy toward the President and that the BJP was blowing the issue out of proportion to distract from real problems.
"Modi ji said that my mother insulted the President. But what did she say? She merely expressed concern that the President had to read a long speech and must have been tired," Priyanka said.
She further criticized PM Modi for making "insignificant matters" into election issues instead of addressing pressing concerns like inflation, unemployment, pension delays, and sanitation worker struggles.
Appeal to Voters: "Reject Leaders Who Ignore Your Struggles"
Ending her speech with a strong appeal to Delhi voters, Priyanka Gandhi urged them to vote for leaders who genuinely care about their issues rather than those who engage in blame games and distractions. She emphasized the need to prioritize governance, transparency, and real development over political theatrics and personal attacks.
As the election battle heats up, Priyanka Gandhi’s sharp criticism has intensified the war of words between Congress, BJP, and AAP, setting the stage for a high-stakes electoral showdown in Delhi.
