This allows compatible devices to communicate with each other and gives users a central way to monitor and control different appliances.
Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator Gets Gemini-Powered AI
One of the major highlights of the new lineup is the 2026 Samsung Family Hub refrigerator. The appliance features a large 32-inch touchscreen that can serve as a digital centre for family schedules, notes, communication and entertainment. A key addition is AI Vision, developed with Google Gemini. The technology is designed to provide contextual assistance and make the refrigerator more useful beyond traditional food storage. Samsungs AI Food Manager can help users identify food items and provide recipe suggestions based on available ingredients. The company has also introduced a Video-to-Recipe feature, which is designed to turn cooking video content into useful recipe ideas. The refrigerator also comes with localised Family Care and Pet Care features. Another addition, called Now Brief, provides personalised information such as schedules, weather updates and family-related details. The Samsung Family Hub refrigerator is priced at ₹4,00,690 in India.
New Samsung AI Air Conditioners Focus on Smarter Cooling
Samsung has also expanded its AI appliance portfolio with new air conditioners. The Bespoke AI WindFree Pro AC combines AI-enabled controls with PM1.0 purification technology. The AC can be connected to SmartThings, allowing users to remotely monitor and manage their appliance. This can make it easier to control indoor conditions even when users are away from home. Alongside the WindFree Pro, Samsung has introduced the Infinite 1-Way Cassette AC with WindFree technology. The product has been developed with Indian homes and cooling requirements in mind. The cassette AC uses thousands of micro-air outlets to distribute cool air without creating the feeling of a strong direct draft. Samsung says the design is intended to provide a more comfortable cooling experience.
AI Energy Mode Can Help Reduce Power Consumption
Energy efficiency is another major focus of Samsungs latest AC lineup. The Infinite 1-Way Cassette AC features an AI Energy Mode that the company says can reduce energy consumption by up to 30 percent under applicable conditions. The AC will be available in 3.5 kW, 5.2 kW and 7.1 kW capacity options. Prices start at ₹1,60,000. The Bespoke AI WindFree Pro AC, meanwhile, has been launched in India at ₹69,990.
SmartThings Connects the Smart Home
Samsung is using SmartThings as the foundation for connecting its AI-enabled appliances. Compatible products can be linked to the platform, allowing users to monitor and operate multiple devices from a single interface. Some Samsung appliances also feature an AI Home screen that provides a central view of connected devices. This approach could make it easier for households to manage appliances without switching between different controls or applications. The company has also upgraded its Bixby voice assistant with Voice ID. The feature can recognise individual users and provide more personalised responses based on who is interacting with the system.
Samsung Brings AI to Laundry Appliances
AI features are not limited to refrigerators and air conditioners. Samsung is also bringing smarter controls to its laundry appliances. The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo includes AI Wash & Dry, which can identify different fabric types and adjust the washing and drying process accordingly. The company has also added a dedicated Pet Care Wash Cycle for households with pets. Samsung is further supporting compatible appliances through Smart Forward Software Updates. These updates can allow supported devices to receive software improvements and additional functionality over time.
Security Remains a Key Part of the AI Ecosystem
As more household appliances become connected to the internet, security becomes an important consideration. Samsung says its latest AI appliances are protected by Knox security technology. The company also says compatible appliances can receive software updates for up to seven years through SmartThings. Longer software support could help connected appliances remain secure and functional for an extended period.
