In a heart-wrenching incident in Greater Noida's Badalpur area, a young woman lost her life in a brutal attack after refusing a marriage proposal. The accused, identified as Virendra from Vijay Nagar, Ghaziabad, carried out the gruesome act after locking the girl's mother in a separate room.

Decade-Long Acquaintance Turns Deadly

Virendra and the victim had known each other for over a decade, having previously been neighbors in Meerut. As time went on, Virendra began to feel something for the young woman and declared his intention to wed her. However, her family did not approve of the alliance and repeatedly rejected his proposal.

A Fatal Visit

On the day of the incident, Virendra visited the young woman's home under the pretense of discussing marriage again. The girl's mother welcomed him, served him tea, and began a conversation. When the marriage proposal was once again turned down, Virendra's demeanor shifted drastically.

In a sudden fit of rage, he locked the mother in a room and approached the young woman. What followed was a brutal attack where he stabbed her multiple times with a knife. The attack proved deadly, despite the girl's calls for assistance filling the house.

Desperate Escape and Immediate Response

As neighbors heard the commotion and rushed towards the house, Virendra managed to escape from the scene. The young lady was rushed to a local hospital in an attempt to save her life, but she passed away from her wounds and was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Police Swiftly Apprehend the Accused

The grieving family immediately lodged a police complaint, leading to an intensive search operation. Virendra was apprehended by the cops when they tracked him down near Kalda Canal in a matter of hours. Additionally, the knife used in the crime was found.
