In a chilling late-night crime in Noida’s posh Sector 30, armed intruders targeted a businessman's home, holding his family hostage, looting valuables, and later forcing them on a terrifying 14-kilometer drive before escaping. A thorough police investigation has been launched in response to the occurrence, which has caused widespread alarm.

The Midnight Invasion

Around 3:30 AM, three unidentified armed men broke into the home of Amarjeet, a businessman involved in car wheel manufacturing. The intruders stealthily entered the property and headed straight to his daughter’s room. Startled awake, the daughter’s screams alerted the rest of the family, but the criminals quickly took control of the situation, threatening everyone at gunpoint.

Hostages at Gunpoint

Under intense fear, the family complied with the intruders’ demands. Cash worth approximately ₹3 lakh and other valuables were handed over. However, the ordeal didn’t end there. The criminals then forced Amarjeet, along with his wife and daughter, into their family car. Amarjeet was ordered to drive, while the criminals sat behind them, holding them at gunpoint.

A Narrow Police Encounter

As the family was being driven away, suspicious neighbors alerted the police. When a patrol squad reached the bungalow, they interrogated the surviving family members. However, under duress from the armed criminals, Amarjeet’s wife told the police that everything was fine. Her explanation comforted the cops, and they departed without asking any further questions.

Following the criminals’ instructions, Amarjeet drove through the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, covering approximately 14 kilometers. Near Sector-142, the criminals ordered him to stop the car. They left the frightened family unharmed and disappeared into the night.

After returning home, Amarjeet immediately reported the incident to the police. The authorities, led by ADCP Noida Manish Kumar Mishra, swiftly formed eight investigation teams to track down the culprits. Authorities have taken into custody four individuals, including the family's security personnel and chauffeur, following the identification of suspicious telephone records and extended conversations associated with the incident.
