The pilgrims had reportedly followed a detailed itinerary, with their journey taking them through Rasuwagadhi, an important transit point close to the Nepal-China border. According to details shared by relatives, the group stayed there on Tuesday night and was expected to cross into Tibet the following day. Instead, the sudden flooding disrupted the journey and left families anxiously waiting for information about their loved ones.

Rasuwagadhi is a key crossing point for travellers heading from Nepal towards Tibet. More Than 100 Pilgrims Among Those Missing

Reports said more than 100 people among nearly 1,300 individuals reported missing after the floods were pilgrims travelling towards Mount Kailash.
