The incident took place in Ghasi Tola village, which is under the Mansahi police station's jurisdiction and is part of Marangi Panchayat.

The altercation reportedly began over the cutting of a mango tree branch located within the premises of a Shiva temple in Ghasi Tola. The disagreement intensified between the temple committee members and the temple priest, identified as Prem Ranjan Goswami. The priest allegedly opened fire during the heated altercation, wounding committee member Shivranjan Singh in the leg.

Victim Undergoing Treatment

Following the incident, the injured Shivranjan Singh was immediately rushed to Sadar Hospital for medical treatment. Although he is no longer in danger, doctors have verified that he is still being monitored. Authorities are keeping a careful eye on his recuperation.
