Investigations have uncovered shocking revelations — the conspiracy was meticulously planned in Jalandhar Jail a year ago by mastermind Kailash Bind and his associate Vipin. What began as a prison conversation spiraled into one of the most daring robberies in recent memory.

The Criminal Alliance in Jail

Gang leader Kailash Bind, notorious for his expertise in bank thefts, crossed paths with Vipin while both were incarcerated in Jalandhar Jail. Vipin became interested when Kailash revealed information about his gang's proficiency in carrying out bank heists. Vipin suggested targeting the Indian Overseas Bank in Chinhat, Lucknow, owing to its weak security infrastructure.

Upon their release, Vipin reached out to Kailash and reignited the plan. Soon after, Kailash assembled his team and set the operation in motion.

On December 17, the Bihar-based gang checked into a hotel in Indira Nagar, Lucknow. Over the course of the subsequent four days, the gang conducted a thorough examination of the bank's facilities, analyzing its security protocols, identifying vulnerabilities, and mapping out potential escape routes. Law enforcement sources have verified that Vipin personally arranged accommodations for the group and facilitated their ground reconnaissance activities.

A Flawed Security System: An Invitation to Crime

JCP Amit Verma revealed glaring flaws in the bank's security system. The walls were poorly constructed without plaster, and the alarm system was dysfunctional. The lockers were substandard, allowing the gang to break open 42 lockers in just three and a half hours using electric cutters.
