Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh: A 23-year-old man was arrested on Sunday in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly kidnapping and raping a six-year-old girl. Police officials reported that the child was alone at home in a village when the accused entered, assaulted her, and left her in a critical condition.

The incident came to light when the child’s family returned home, discovered her injuries, and immediately took her to a hospital. She is currently receiving medical treatment, with doctors monitoring her condition closely.

Circle Officer Ramashish Yadav, speaking to the press, confirmed the arrest and stated that the accused has been charged under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) related to rape and kidnapping, along with relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.

“The accused is in custody, and we are working to gather all necessary evidence to ensure justice,” Yadav said, emphasizing that a thorough investigation is underway. The police are collecting statements and forensic evidence to strengthen the case against the accused.
