Matthew Mott’s Exceptional Coaching Journey and World Cup Triumphs

Matthew Mott’s coaching credentials are nothing short of remarkable. He is one of the few coaches in international cricket to have won T20 World Cup titles with different teams. His successful stint as the head coach of the Australian women's national team (2015–2020) saw the side dominate world cricket, securing multiple championships, including the T20 World Cup.

Following his successful tenure with Australia, Mott took on a new challenge and joined England’s men's team as head coach. Under his leadership, England clinched their second ICC Men's T20 World Cup title in 2022, cementing his reputation as a world-class coach. More recently, he has been involved with the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League on a three-year contract, which began in September 2024.

Adding to his IPL experience, Mott was previously an assistant coach for the Kolkata Knight Riders during the 2008 and 2009 seasons, working alongside John Buchanan. His return to the IPL with Delhi Capitals presents an opportunity for him to bring his tactical expertise and a winning mindset to the franchise.
