Fortunately, the tree was preserved by replacing the old soil with new soil around its roots.
Attempts to Remove the Tree and Community Resistance
According to locals, the hospital administration has persistently sought to eliminate the tree. Earlier efforts to kill it involved the application of acid, and when that proved ineffective, they planned to proceed with cutting it down. This endeavor was undertaken without obtaining the requisite legal or environmental permits, constituting a breach of the law.Local resident Pramod Singh emphasized, "This tree holds immense importance for us. It is not merely a tree; it is integral to our environment and positively influences our health. We cannot accept its cutting and we will oppose every attempt to do so.

Accusations have been made that the Jaipur Hospital and Municipal Corporation officials acted together to carry out this action. Locals claim that the hospital administration pressured the municipal officials to remove the tree and attempted to do so without any legal justification. Rahul Agarwal, the JEN of Jaipur Municipal Corporation, is specifically accused of abusing his authority by ordering the cutting of the tree without local administrative approval.Officials from the Greater Municipal Corporation have stated that no orders were issued for cutting the tree, and an investigation into the matter will be conducted. However, locals are now demanding a thorough investigation into the entire incident and accusing higher authorities of pressuring officials to take such a step.
